I bought this product last November, about a month after the temperature dropped. I used it most weekends and in the evenings for about 5-6 hours. I am on a budget sytem with Columbia Gas in NW Ohio and my budgeted monthly payment was $139. In February my budget amount dropped to $79 and it was a relatively cold winter. In fact after December 1st we only saw 4 or 5 days above freezing until the end of February. I highly recommend you buy fireplace doors with this product, this will help prevent the heat being sucked up through the chimney.
