This thing is huge and heavy. It's difficult to move around when you need to work the fire: it is simply too bulky. A screen that was half the size would serve the purpose of catching pesky popping embers. Covering the entire fireplace opening is overkill. I plan on cutting mine to exactly half the size and tack welding it back together.
